Job Description

A Data Scientist, or Data Science Professional, is responsible for overseeing the collection, storage and interpretation of data for businesses. Their duties include sifting through data points to create organized categories, comparing data points to current company processes and writing reports outlining business predictions or proposals.


At least 3 years relevant experience required. Help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data, to enable smarter decisions that will deliver even better products. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products. Responsibilities – Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques – Data mining using state-of-the-art methods – Extending companys data with third party sources of information when needed – Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems – Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis – Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner – Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
Must have: SQL, Power BI, Excel


What does a typical day look like? (daily tasks) – A handful of project meetings (2-3 hours worth) and dedicated time for data analysis & query building
Preferred background/prior work experience? – Ability to process large sets of data, and create actionable insights.
Priority soft skills – Strong communication skills. Flexibility. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Business
